Rita`s Margaritas and Mexican Grill in Arcata

I ordered a California burrito it doesn't come with sour cream so I had to order guacamole and sour cream since it was very dry. Service is okey, speed okey, I waived at the waitress and he ignored me twice. It's okey. It could be better. Restroom in spot, parking and street parking, patio area. They say their margaritas are delicious.

The 5$ minimum for debit cards is pretty unfortunate. I just wanted to use the remainder of my gift certificate (that doesn't qualify for any other Rita's by the way) and put the rest on my card. They turned me away because it was less than 5$ after the certificate. Great job! Now there's someone in the back getting free food while a potential paying customer didn't get their food.

Good food and helpful staff

The food was SOOO GOOD! I am pretty picky about my Mexican food too, but I was as in no way disappointed. Down to the amazing tasting salsas I'm definitely making this a regular stop on my trips north.

He always has a great time there

I love this place for it's ambience. I go eat alone, can be by myself, quiet. The wait staff is the friendliest, always. However, I don't like that their burritos only come in one size: huge. Very inexpensive food. Beans cooked in veggie lard (only ones in town). Do NOT eat their breakfast burritos. I was dizzy, out of it for 6 hours after eating it, greasy potatoes cooked poorly. Terrible item.

Never had anything I like taste good there. Super disappointed because of apparent popularity. Undeserved as far as I am concerned.

cold food. not a good meal. commented and was told food was cold because of the cheeae. that didnt explain the cold meat. even the bean and cheese burrito had unmelted cheese in it.

Pretty basic food. Nothing to rave about. Go for the happy hour not the food.

Best horchata I have ever had. Food was delicious!! We will definitely be back.

Dollar tacos on Tuesday is a must. If you are just looking to blow of steam a pitcher of margaritas will work in a snap! Great meats and lots of choices!

As a knowledgeable and very picky eater of Mexican Food, I can tell you they got their stuff right. They even add piña to the pastor!!Always good food and awesome service. When I miss México I come here and leave in higher spirits. ;)

Food was cold, cheese in my wife's enchilada wasn't melted, rice was very dry, my tacos were good though but not what I ordered. Despite being one of only three dine in tables our server was nowhere too be seen. I understand they were busy with take out orders and that would have been ok with us if we could have gotten refills on our chips while we waited, or out drinks, or the food was hot when we got it. As it was we were seated and given menus. We had to go get the waiter to order drinks and go get him again to order our food.

Great value for the money. Decent Vibes, full bar, good but not overly attentive waitstaff.

My old college stomping grounds. I eat here every time I travel through. Rita's Carnitas are very good. I ordered the Mole Enchiladas with Carnitas. Loved those sweet and savory flavors.

Always a positive experience here. The Carnitas are superb. Come on Taco Tuesday for $1 tacos. Extemo Burrito will change your life.

My absolute favorite Mexican food restaurant in the area. Always delicious food with great service. Wether you are in the mood for tacos, burritos, enchiladas, or even just some chips and salsa this place is a must. I have tried all the other local restaurants and Rita's is absolutely the best. Not to mention they have a great happy hour as well. This place can't get much better than it already is.

We were required to eat outside. It was pleasant and warm at 4:00 p.m. The staff is helpful and efficient. I hope to eat there again soon. Help keep businesses afloat during this trying time.

Ordered a vegan burrito and couldn’t finish it because it was so huge. Really tasty!

Fast, inexpensive, great service, great location, full bar... Sure it's not fine dining, but it doesn't need to be. It's pretty great as it is.

Although the tacos meat had good flavor there was way too much cilantro in there, overpowering the rest of the ingredients. The problem was the chimichanga, mostly filled with beans and lacked flavor. After all was said and done they would not accept the Rita's gift card that I had purchased from Costco a while back. The manager said they were under new management and wouldn't even try. As far as I know that is against the law. Needless to say we will not be back!

Pretty good drinks. The food as is was a little bland (ordered the chicken chimichanga) but put the salsa from the bottle with the red lid and it made it super tasty 😁

Excellent in EVERY WAY...The food ...the service ..the mood ....& my companion. ..that recommended Chile Colorado. ..Oh my ....Never had it but it is my New Favorite dish ..

Best Mexican food I've had in the area, really missed big, stupid burritos after moving here from South Orange county but this place well made up for it.

Food has gotten worse and worse over time. Waiter got everyone at our tables order wrong. Pretty sure they buy there chips at costco, which taste cheap. Terrible.

Great food - I recommend the San Antonio beef, as well as the verde. Fantastic. Dos Equis Amber, Redwood Curtain, and Negra Modello on tap.

This place is wonderful. I love the atmosphere, food and everything about it however the only reason i can not give 5 stars is I have to say, how come everything but the tortillas are homemade? Homemade tortillas would make it 5 star.

Gotta love their margaritas! They come in a massive cup, plus their happy hour is a bang for your buck. I enjoy their wet burritos the most, especially with carne asada. Overall good experience every time I have been.

Excellent food and service. First time in Arcata and I was beyond happy after I had ate at rita's. Getting a table during this covid stuff was a long long wait but the food was excellent. Keep in mind, I'm VEGAN. So, them having vegan options is already amazing, but the food actually tasted good. So next time I'm in Arcata. RITAS IS THE SPOT!

Waiter was nice. Everything seems to have black olives?? Beans come with some type of white cheese on them. 1st table had ants crawling on it and flies were all over the restaurant. Their salsas were good but the store bought chips were a disappointment.

i absolutely love this place. i go there for every birthday, and when things get terribly tough i always find myself sitting in a back table. the food is great, the service is very nice, and the atmosphere is welcoming. thank you, Rita's, for being a warm and welcoming place, and for always making me smile. best wishes for everyone involved. ps, love the guac. its my favorite lol

Not great food. Drinks are good. Best day to go is for Taco Tuesday, $1 dollar tacos* (execptions) however they come out cold.

Great place to grab food

I went there for Taco Tuesday. I had all you can eat tacos for one dollar each. They were the best deal in town and I enjoyed the friendly service as well as the authentic and welcoming environment. I highly recommend this restaurant. Also they have the best guacamole anywhere !😃

Food was good. Prices were reasonable. Staff was super nice and attentive.
